Ministry Opportunities

Music Ministry

The Music Ministry at Bethany tries to offer something for all ages. Our preschool and children’s choir meets each Tuesday Afternoon at 3:30pm during the school year. The youth praise band  meets at 4:00 on Sunday Afternoon. Our Adults are currently rehearsing at 7:00 p.m. each Wednesday except on Business meeting night when we rehearse at 6:30 p.m.

 

Education Ministry

 In the Area of Education, Bethany offers a full range of opportunities to grow spiritually and enjoy the fellowship of others that are similar to you in age and interests. Sunday School, Discipleship Training, G.A.’s, R.A.’s, and Mission Friends all offer a time of learning in a small group setting. Our Worship time allows us to turn our attention to the Lord for a renewing of our spirits and to give Him the praise He so richly deserves.

 

Men's Ministry

We are in the process of forming some men's small groups for accountability and Bible Study.  If you are interested in being part of a small group of men who will meet on an ongoing basis, please contact the church office.

 

Women's Ministry

Bethany offers numerous opportunities for women.  From WMU to women's small group discipleship, we try to offer a program to meet the needs of women throughout the church.

 

Children's Ministry

The children have a wide range of activities for them each Sunday and Wednesday.  On Sundays there is a Sunday School class for each age group @ 9:45am.  

On Sunday Evening at 5:00pm we have "Team Kid", a ministry of Bible Study and recreational activities designed to nurture your child's spiritual and moral development.

On Tuesday Afternoon  there is a children's choir practice @ 3:30 pm

On Wednesdays we offer RAs and GAs at 6:45 pm. 

 

Student Ministry

The Student Ministry at Bethany Baptist Church is as varied and dynamic as the students themselves.  The student ministry serves grades 6 - college.  There are grade oriented activities and activities aimed at the whole group.  The student ministry has three philosophies that we try to keep in order.

Bethany Baptist Church Student Ministry Philosophy (In Order of Importance):

  1. Bible Study and Worship of God
  2. Serving God through Ministry and Missions
  3. Good clean fun always remembering to keep #1 and #2 in focus and on our minds.

At the heart of our Student Ministry is our Wednesday Night Praise and Worship Time called The UpRising.  We begin at 6:45 pm with music led by the Student Praise Band followed by a message by Bro. Michael, our Minister of Students.

The Student Ministry also offers small group discipleship which meets in various homes throughout the community in the mornings on weekdays.  Discipleship is also offered on Sunday Evenings at 5:00 pm in the fellowship hall. 

 

Senior Adult Ministry

Bethany Gold is our senior adult group. They meet the 2nd Monday of each month.  The meetings alternate between lunch and dinner meetings.

Bethany Gold also plans trips on an occasional basis.
